8/4 – Fette Sau, Williamsburg

First of all, hooray on publishing my very first food diary! ๐ŸŽ‰
Keep an eye out for many, many more๐Ÿ˜˜

So on 8/4, Friday, I was SUPER stressed out and frustrated from work, and as soon as I got off, all I could think about was feasting on a delicious meal and drinking good beer๐Ÿป๐Ÿบ. Also, my boyfriend, Paul, had come to New York to visit me for the weekend Thursday night.

Paul absolutely looooves barbecue places and I was totally down, so I thought of going toย Fette Sauย for dinner. One of my co-workers introduced me to this place last week, and I thought it was great, so I took him there. Also, even though it was a Friday night, I was beyond tired, so being only 5 minutes away from home, Fette Sau was the place to be. Plus, they have amazing beer.

Interesting wall art, displaying different types of meat. There were also seats outside, but it was pretty crowded.

This is the bar. You order alcoholic drinks & pay for them separately from the bar.

They have meat by the pounds but you can order by half pounds and quarter pounds too. Theyย cut it up on the spot and serve it to you right away. I didn’t take a picture of the menu, but as far as I can recall, they have pork belly, brisket (AMAZING, BTW), pulled pork (shoulder), sausages, ribs, and chicken. They have some amazing sides too, like the broccoli salad, my personal favorite, potatoes, and baked beans.

There’s usually a huge line around dinner time, so if you’re here with people, y’all better split up and divide up the tasks. One person can order meat, one person can be at the bar to order drinks, and the other can find a seat somewhere for you all to sit๐Ÿ˜‰.

OMG the food looked sooooo good. We got a 1/4 pound of sausage, 1/4 pound of pulled pork, 1/2 pound of ribs and 1/2 pound of pork belly. We also got two sides – broccoli salad and baked beans!
